FEEDING GUILFORD COUNTY ONE MEAL AT A TIME...

Food disparity in urban food deserts is a pressing issue affecting children's health and development. Access to nutritious food is crucial for their growth, learning, and overall well-being. By closing this gap, we can ensure that children receive the essential vitamins and minerals they need to thrive. Investing in local resources and community programs can help create a healthier future for our kids, empowering them to grow stronger and succeed.

3 HOURS...

For people who live in food deserts, without transportation, the journey to the grocery store can take hours.  From walking to and from bus stops, switching buses, and waiting in lines.  the time adds up quickly.  The PDY&F Food Garden is committed to making fresh fruits and vegetables more accessible for all of our citizens.
